Matthew Strong

founder / creative director
o: (646) 873-7641
m: (917) 626-4701

When not bicycling 552 miles across New York State, Matthew serves as the Creative Director of Strong Studio.

Matthew founded Strong Studio in 2006. Prior to establishing the company, he served as the Senior Creative Director for Madison Square Garden, overseeing and creating season identities for the New York Knicks and New York Rangers as well as designs for Radio City Music Hall. He began his professional career at SME Branding where he helped develop and extend brands for the NFL, NBA and MLB.

In 1999, Matthew graduated from Pratt Institute with highest honors from the Communications Design department where he has been teaching Package Design and Graphic Design since 2004. Matthew is also a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).

Linda Sue Strong

brains of the operation
o: (646) 873-7641
m: (917) 620-2034

When not binge-watching all of Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, Showtime and Survivor (yes Survivor is still on), Linda maintains Strong Studio.

Linda is responsible for the day-to-day project and budget management, working with the design team on brand consistency and workflow. Linda is also Strong Studio's in-house copywriter, creating headlines and establishing brand voices for several of Strong Studio's clients.

A graduate of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Linda began her career designing print and environmental graphics for the arts and entertainment industry. She later obtained her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she specialized in intellectual property law. After several years as a litigator, she returned to the design industry to help manage and grow Strong Studio.

Kate Allaire

art director
o: (646) 873-7641

When not hiking all 59 national parks, Kate can be found multitasking and helping to manage Strong Studio as "mother bear."

She works actively in both design and art direction — seeing projects through from concept to implementation. Working closely with Matthew and Linda, Kate helps establish creative direction and supervises project timing and production.

A Pratt alumni — and former student of Matthew’s — Kate has been with the company since 2013.

Sam Atherton

brand implementation

Sam arrived in NYC via Michigan. He has an affinity for hip hop, pop punk, fancy socks, comic books and can out-quote you on "The Office." That's what she said.

Christina An

Christina is fluent in both English and Sarcasm. When not catching up on reruns of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Christina can be found dancing around like an idiot and cutting cake into freakishly even slices.

Austin Couillard

Austin from Austin is a southern belle who delights in water coloring, iced coffee, and unpronounceable pastries.

Silvia Figueroa

production designer

Silvia is a Brooklyn native with a fondness for 80s music and any book or movie containing dragons and other winged creatures. She also has two cats, neither of which possess the gift of flight.

Leah Denzien

world's best intern

From Philadelphia, born and raised, is where Leah spent most of her days. Now she wanders New York City in search of a decent soft pretzel and anyone that can understand the way that she says “water."

modern siamese

Endearing yet ultimately a little creepy, Ramen has abnormally large ears and a vocal range that rivals a teething baby. She likes string. I mean, she REALLY likes string.

Bento is a very good boy. He likes to chase balls, sticks, pigeons, and parked cars and is the best dressed pup this side of the Atlantic.
